Freeloader issues?

I recently got a PAL Soul Calibur 2 to play on my American GameCube using Freeloader. Now, my brother had also got SC2 for the Xbox, both PAL. But, after playing both, i realized that SC2 on the GC was excessively fast, making it nigh on an exercise in button bashing. Can anyone explain this curiosity to me please, before i go out and do something stupid like buying F Zero GX.

Presumably SCII GC has a 60Hz mode (normally activated on a pal GC by holding B on startup) and Freeloader has forced it into 60Hz. Your mate is probably running his xbox in 50hz mode. Essentially you are now seeing it as it is supposed to be played. Perhaps.
