Could Someone Answer A Broadband Question Please

Hi All,

I'm getting a new Sony Laptop sometime in the next week or so. The model is this one... (go to sonystyle.co.uk and search for the laptop 415b, It is ?899)

What I would like to know is can I use my Broadband on this laptop or not. At the moment I have Blueyonder Telewest Broadband. Would I need to change to a BT one?

hi, yes you can, you can either plug you modem in via usb or via the ethernet.
did you get an ethernet cable with your modem? or did you just get a usb cable?
and how do you connect your pc to your modem now?

The modem I have, I think is a cable modem. It is a Webstar provided by Eurobell / Blue Yonder / Telewest. (not sure which company as all are on my bill!)

It is connected via USB. I have not got an ethernet cable with it. As it's a USB does that mean I can just plug it in and it should work!! Here's hoping
