    Freeloader with pal Prime

I'm sure I've read somewhere that a pal Prime wont work with an NTSC machine using freeloader. Is this correct?

i was gutted, i got a freeloader and prime on uk release day and it didn't work????

man this freeloader is a pile of ****e! why not include a code system like the old psxchanger disc for the psone? that way games that were protected could be given a code and hey presto!

That's annoying, I was thinking about getting a Pal Zelda (as my importer is having trouble getting me the preorder us want) but I reckon it's gonna have the same problem

I always thought that they were going to...

I don't know why they did not in the end. Oh well... Everything works fine for me... But I have an NTSC copy and PAL console - *Score one for the PAL gamers*

So really score one for the people importing in PAL machines.
              Pal purists confuse me.
Especially those that know the benefits of importing.
Yet are too afraid to admit it's better.

Maybe they like buying games cheap in the sales? Or they like renting games from Blockbusters? Or swapping with their PAL-owning mates?

                Stop being such an elitist.

I don't see much point in a PAL version either. What you said are obviously benefits, but for me the Freeloader works with enough PAL games to satisfy the odd rental. The fact that some PAL games don't work isn't really relevant to me, considering all the advantages, such as the cheaper prices and correct release dates.

I have an NTSC copy and played it months ago when it was released using my NTSC console without having to use a boot disc every time I want to play it. *Score: 2-1 to the NTSC gamers*

You can't play Doshin the Giant in colour without a ?45 cable. 4-2

Fair point. I've got a Q for playing US/Japanese imports but I recently bought a PAL GC with that Argos offer so I could pick up cheap PAL games second hand and in the sales.

So far I've bought two titles for 20 quid apiece that I would probably have had to spend considerably more on to import.

But the ?45 cable is actually better than the official one you can use with the PAL Gamecube, and owners of import consoles have more of an incentive to own it.
