    PAL machine is better because you can also play PAL games correctly, although why you would want to is beyond my understanding.

      I have no intention of playing PAL games once I get a US PS2 for obvious reasons.

      The only time I will buy a PAL game is when the game is exclusively PAL and will stay that way, though to be honest when does that happen.
