Fifa 2004 major problem (xbox)

never had any problem with it before

but tried playing it today n it wont load, gets to the white screen with the fifa football 2004 logo on it n doesnt load any further

its been fine for the last couple of weeks or so, dont think its my xbox as it runs every other game with ease

the funny thing is it ran fine last night, didnt even take it out of the machine tried again today n wont work

the disc is unmarked, but seem to have the faintest of circluar scratches around the edge.

do i have reason to complain to ea over a faulty product. as if a scracth that faint can stop it loading then its pathetic u cant even see it unless u get it under the right light and look stupidly close

worst bit is i cant find my receipt to take it back tot he shop, so my only comeback is with ea or whoever

Is you xbox chipped, if so have you changed regions as some games only play when the xbox is set to a certain region, it may also be a corrupted save thats stops it loading.

nope its a completely unmodified console

hmm ill try the save game, if it is im gonna be immensily pissed as its took me ages to get that far

I got US XBOX and use US Fifa 2004 and it was so bad due to slowness. I tested it on a chipped XBOX of my friend and set the display to PAL and it work perfectly.

So I sold it as it is not good enough for me.

Of course you've got reason to complain. You've bought a product from them and it's faulty (f@ck the scratch, it keeps locking up)...simple.

Does it happen with any of your other games? If not then you have to assume it's a bad run or suchlike. If you bought it with plastic you've got a record of the purchase and if not just rung up EA's customer support and give 'em hell. Polite but firm, it works every time. They have to exchange it for you.

Actually, there was a dodgy batch of PAL Xbox Fifa's, the first released ones
