I think the user Londonner has the most up to date mem.

    Cheers.

I do (thanks to yourself) but unfortunately I only have access to a monitor (no compatible NTSC TV, believe it or not) - hence I can't actually see the options screen on boot, becuause Nintendo in their infinite wisdom decided not to make those screens progressive scan Whoever made this oversight should be shot.

you could still plug your cube into your tv and just get a black and white pic up, it would take long to copy the file would it?

Any chance of doing a copy for me too Londoner? I have a file but none of the flags are up to date, and not all of the teams have been fully translated. I presume yours is 100%?

No can do guys - the screen scrolls up way too fast. I have tried this before. Since I've never copied a mem card before, I have no idea what I'm doing so it's a bigger risk.

Anyway, the data file itself isn't the most up to date - my mates grumble when the come over - as it's pre-transfers summer 2003 ie. not the transformed Chelsea team, no Ronaldo at Man Utd, no Beckham at Real etc.

However, I know exactly how you guys feel. I was in the same position till Ginza sorted me out. My plan has been to get a USB memory card just for this game - so that I can download the latest data files, and experiment with the best ones out there - http://www.savethecube.com being a good source.

The only hold up has been the shipping cost from Hong Kong. If you guys are in, why don't we all split the shipping and order a bundle of the USB mem cards?

The 64 meg USB comes in at ?22 quid from Play Asia, and between three people shipping is ?1.50.

            Just a suggestion.

Hmm... now that the GameCube has a homebrew scene of sorts, it can only be a matter of time before someone writes their own PC <-> GCN memory card backup tool that would solve these non-copyable mem card file problems.

              /does some digging.

Ah! There already is! The tool is called GCS at v1.0a.

This would really speed up collaborative effort on things like the WE6FE translation. I'm going to try it out in a bit.

There is also a free homebrew GCN library being written that has some mermory card functions already:

My file is pretty much right up to date. Parker > Chelsea, Davids > Barca etc..

Also changed quite a few teams. NEW = Man City, Tottenham, Lyon, VFB Stuttgart, Sporting Lisbon, Benfica, FC Porto, Atletico Madrid. Gone over West Ham, Fiorientina, Bordeaux, Hamburg, Vasco, River, Boca, Palmeiras.

To be honest due to extensive and constant editing my file is a mess in a way.
ie. C. Ronaldo @ Man U is English as he's over Beckham. Its sorted though as Beckham is registered over him for England. Main problem is ML where looking at England shows C. Ronaldo. You have to find the "Madrid" Beckham.

^ example x100+ for lots of player faffing

Bottom line is that there is no other way.

I've been in France for 6 months but am back in a week or so. Happy to sort the file out for people in a couple of weeks.
