buying a japanese ps2! please give some advice~

i finally decided to go for a japanese version PS2 fronm play-asia.
but can't make up my mind on which one to choose. guess i'm definitely buying one of these two though:
-cemaric white [55000 gt] with GT4 prologue.
-Midnight Blue BB Pack [SCPH-50000MBNH]
the first one is limited edition, cute color, latest version.
but the second one has got everything! BB unit, harddisc and network adapter.. the color is not bad as well!

which one do you guys rekon?
my main concern is:
1,will i be able to use the japanese networkadapter function here in uk? or is it simply useless.
can i play japanese online games? browsing internet though BT's network?
2, is the harddisc worth buying?
if the BB unit and all that network thing only works in japan, it won;t make sense to buy Midnight Blue BB Pack then,....

oh, another thing is: for those who are experienced, how much would the customs'cost be when importing a PS2 from play-asia? (even if i ask them to mark it down...)

I though that the white one looked cool, but with the bb pack you got all the extra gubbins. Also my other concern was would the ceramic white unit discolour?

In the end i went with the bb pack, and i have no regrets doing so. I have not had a chance to test the broadband adapter fully yet, but everything installed o.k and is working fine. There is also a translation on the net of the bb pack software.

Concerning where to get it from, i chose yesasia there price included shipping and had no risk of customs. Also it was shipped on a monday and i had it on the tuesday due to it been shipped from there u.k warehouse.

I would think carefully as there is not many PS2 games worth getting for online gaming, if you already got XBOX Live. I wouldn't bother for my self, but if Winning Eleven ever support online gaming, I would go for it.

actually i prefer that [midnightblue bb pack] one as well~ simply the best equipped PS2 ever~! ft:

so there is actually a uk warehouse for yesasia?! and it only takes a day for you to wait?! fabulous!~~ i'll go for yesasia then.
as you said, though the console price is 30 pounds more expensive than play-asia, it would save me lots of long-distance transportation cost and trouble~

I've just got a ceramic white ps2 with a couple of games from Play-Asia and got hit for 35quid. Still, a beautiful machine tho!
GT4 Prologue comes pretty much as a freebie with it and graphically pisses all over anything (PGR2 included) I've got on my Xbox.....

i haven't ordered it yet
need to wait until my birthday = =
otherwise my girlfriend won't allow me buying it~
