    Running PES3 off my PC

I need some advice regarding my install of PES3 to my PC.

Having installed the game yesterday, I ran it for the first time using my new DVD player that I also installed on my PC last week. It did take a couple of attempts to work. Invariably the egg timer would appear and then nothing would happen. However, I eventually got it to run. However when it did run I speed of the player animation was too fast.

I exited the game to try and find out what the issue was only to find that since then the game has stopped running altogether when I try and run it.

I don't know if anyone has had such problems but it's the annoying the hell out of me as I recently upgraded my gfx card and installed a dvd player just for this game. I'm starting to think it wold have been cheaper to buy a PS2. Therefore any help would be greatly appreciated.

We're going to need some details mate. I.e. What OS, what DVD drive, what gfx card, mobo perhaps?

      Specs as follows mate:

      OS:Windows 98SE
      GFX: Nvidia GeForce4TI 4200
CPU: AMD Athlon 1600 ( I've just noticed on the requirements specs that it only refers to Pentium CPUs only....could this be it? Then again, how did I manage to run it the first time).
      Mobo: Soltek SL-75KAV/-X
      DVD: Philips DVDRW416K/30

      Perhaps this may help.

I'm using a AMD Barton 2600XP and it runs fine so it isn't because of that mate.

I decided to upgrade my OS today to XP and the game ran once. However I've tried to running it again and it just does nothing. I did notice in XP this time that I got a message saying it was unable to authenticate the disk within the time limit...or something to that effect. It's an original copy so I'm not sure why I'm getting that. Could it have something to do with the read speed on my DVD drive?

I had similar problems with Prince of Persia - the computer refused to recognise my CD. In the end I just cracked it so now it works fine. You might want to do that same, there's a couple floating around for PES3.

Sorry mate, I don't understand. What would I need to do?
