    Scart problems

    Ive got the argos scart splitter everyone raves about, i used to have my dreamcast (RGB lead) connected up to it and all was fine. I gave my scart to scart lead to a friend and have now bought another one which i thought was identical. How ever when i turn on the dreamcast this picture shown is greay, a very very dark grey, so all menus look like a sort of shadow rather than a proper picture, ive tried the scart for the dc and the actual scart splitter bit in different sockets but its the same, my dc directly to connected to the RGB socket on my tv shows fine, but its only when its running through the splitter its totally unseeable. The scart to scart has all the pines in both connectors, i dont know about the one i had before but its the same make and packaging.

    Any ideas people as im desperate to be able to use my scart splitter to connect to my amp again.

    OK.

    DC ->TV = Cool.

    DC -> splitter -> oldscart lead -> TV = Cool.

    DC -> splitter -> new scart lead -> TV = Duff.

    It's the lead or your scart splitter has suddenly developed a fault.

    Make sure the scart box is in RGB mode (switch down),
    the channel your using is down,
    and all other switches are 100% UP.

      The xbox runs fine through it which confuses me, but im not sure if its running through rgb or composite, i'll have to get a dvd out with the warning text on to see. Think i'll take the lead back tomo and get a better one.
