Toshiba 32ZP38 + Panasonic Q Prog. Scan Question

Having recently accquired the Toshiba I tried to hook up the Q using a modded RGB cable. This displays fine via Ext 2 in non-progressive scan mode.

When I try to initialise Prog. Scan mode on the Q (pressing down B) the screen loses the signal altogether (once prog. scan is confirmed and selected) and a blue screen comes up with just the sound in the background.

Can anyone help at all? I've tried a few combinations but none seem to work Strangely when I press the pause button on the remote (which is actually reserved for the DVD player), I get a very scrambled image of the game but it's frozen.

You need a component cable for prog scan.

Does the TV have component inputs? If so, it's possible that it only does Pro Scan through the component input as i know this is true of older Toshiba tv's.
