Whats the diffrence between ASIA and JP consoles?

I was just wondering as the asian ones are cheaper on play-asia, are the asian ones still moddable?

iiRC they just have the same power input as us, so you don't need a stepdown and they come with english insturctions

I think the asian models are just the Jap ones, but with a 220V PSU. Not sure tho...

The bios language is set to chinese as default i think. i cant remember ive had my asian one for awhile.

Asian ones tnd to be cheaper also. Dunno why. Ithink it all started when the N64 came out, as there was suddenly a new territory. Could be wrong though.
