VO:OT with Saturn Twin Sticks

Help!

I finally managed to get together a US copy of VO:OT for the DC, some Saturn Twin sticks and a total control 3 plus so that i could use them on the DC. However, upon attempting to play the game last night it did not seem to respond to all my movements with the sticks. I tried fiddling around with the various default contrller configs but couldnt find one where all movements and buttons worked without compromising the use of the others.

Im now wondering if its only the Jap version of the game that supports the sticks, or am i just completely missing something?

You switched the TC3 thing over to twin stick control?? I can't vouch for support in the US version, works alright in the NTSC-J version though

VOOT commands are different. On VO:OT the turbo left and right dash/turbo buttons are separate but on VO:OM they are the same function. So with the Saturn sticks you should not be able to do stuff like left turbo + right trigger.

There is a little switch on the TC3, to switch between normal Joypad and Twin Stick controllers. It's on the side of the adaptor

This is half true. VO:OM does indeed use both turbo buttons for the same function, but this is purely a gameplay function and not one internal to the sticks themselves. In short, you can play VO:OT with the Saturn TwinSticks quite happily (with the requisite pad converter), however the dedicated Dreamcast sticks are far better (in terms of responsivity).
