Sonic Heroes in Japan

How did this sell in Japan?
I regulary look at the MagicBox.com Japanese chart updates but I failed to see Sonic Heroes on it, how did it do?

i aint disputting that, its so renk. but if it does so well over here i just wondered wether the whole world had gone mad or just europe.

in a word, terribly.

Enterbrain sales 29 December - 4 January:
21 GC Sonic Heroes Sega 25,151 [36.0% of total shipment]
22 PS2 Sonic Heroes Sega 24,768 [54.9% of total shipment]

neither version appeared in the top 30 in the following week, which indicates that total 2nd week sales were under 18K for both versions combined.

even more horrific is that fact that sega didn't expect to sell more than 50K copies of heroes on the ps2.
