    Best TV for gaming

I am in the market for a new TV. I need one with a component input, so that I can enjoy progressive scan on my Gamecube & Denon DVD-3800. I have been checking out a few of Loewe's models and they seem to be very good sets, although quite pricey. My friend told me that Toshiba's Strata TV might be even better than the Loewe Aconda. Any help on this would be much appreciated....

I have a Toshiba with component but without progressive scan. I ordered about 6 months before they started introducing PS models at affordable prices. ft:

I reckon you could get a 32" progressive scan model for around ?800-900 if you look around. Just a quick search on Kelkoo came up with this, so if you look around you should get a good deal. Try empiredirect.com or just search in DealTime or Google.

Have you seen the TV buying guide on our homepage? It might not tell you anything you don't already know, but it might help order your thoughts.

          Jesus H......

Pretty fricken expesive too. I like my games as much as the next man, but I dont have the expendable income to buy something like that.

I did notice that tosh do a 28" widescreen progressive scan for ?600 though. Thats a little closer to my price range.

              Fire,

              Thats the one.

Just need to work out how (once ive moved in with Mrs Sarkster in the next few months) im gonna persude the missus to let "us" buy a brand new TV and let me commandeer it for my gaming den, while she watches normal TV downstairs on an old **** heap of a 21" non widescreen tosh.

              Suggestions?

Thanks for the help everyone... I couldn't wait any longer, so I just bought the Loewe Aconda 9381ZW. It will be arriving tomorrow, so I am quite sure that I won't be going ANYWHERE this weekend
