Xbox.... which should I get?

I want an xbox but I am stuck as to which machine to get.

modded USA, modded Jap or a modded PAL ?

I want to play games in progressive scan (I have no problem with this on my GC) but I am not sure how this works on an xbox. I know PAL xboxs won't display prgressive scan as standard, but...

Will PAL games play in progressive scan on a modded XBOX?

If that is the case will I be able to play on live.

I am just sick of owning 2 versions of each console and I would finally like to be able to buy one right first time!! and play all the games I buy on one machine in the best possible quality

Your cheapest bet is to get a Modded PAL Xbox. It lets you do all the **** you want.

Worst comes to worse, you can always flash the TSOP with a Jpn/US bios.

get a modded pal xbox(saves on a stepdown) then you can select the region you want it to be(ie change it to a us xbox to play progressive scan games) i think it is simple to do.

And make sure the chip has a switch if you want to play on Live.

Will PAL games play in progressive scan on a modded XBOX?

Yes, you just have to use Enigmah Video Mode Switch (an app that may already be on the chipped Xbox depending where you get it from) to change the video mode to NTSC.
This opens up the option in the dash to enable 480p, 720p, and 1080i.
Of course you'll need the Hi Def cable.

Yes, no problem because even with the chip off it'll still do prog. scan.

That aside, he sells premodded Xbox's for reasonable prices, or alternatively keep an eye on our trade forum here as they come up fairly often.

so if you are down south will would be best.
