    PSOne Combo PSU

    Im looking at getting a JPN PSOne Combo. (PSone + screen)


    Any ideas if a 65watt stepdown is good enough or do i need something a bit better? (wheres best to buy from?) maplin, tlc-direct or someone else?

    or if possible i would like to replacement the psu By the looks of this pic its external(can anyone with a psone confirm this?)


    if i can replace the psu any ideas where i can buy 1?

      yeah 65w will be more then enough, My psone and lcd screen runs for hours of a psone battery pack I bought from dixons so it can't draw that much power.

        i dont know the wattage

        ive found a couple of places selling replacement psone psu's, if i change the psu/plug will it work ok or is there anything else i should be aware of?

          I decided to ask Sony, if i could buy a UK Psu for it, turns out its a different PSU for using the screen aswell as the console, which they dont stock. (not sure if this is true or just information to get rid of me as in the US manual for the psone and psone screen the psu is the same spec.)

          ive found out this information :

          Power Requirements : AC 7.5V DC (120V AC, 60hz)

          Power Consumption : 6.8 W (not inc power used by PSone console)


          Can anyone shed any light on what stepdown to go for, i dont want to bloat and go for a 200/300w as i intend to move it about alot.
