Virtual On OT Dreamcast.. Vs Link?

I own two copies of this game, one is Jap the other US does anyone know if these will work together via the Dreamcast Vs Link cable.

I want to order one (vs cable) as they seem to be getting quite rare, but will I need another version of the game (I think three is pushing it a bit far!?)

I *think* so.

To have the link-mode option, press and hold ''Left Trigger + Right Trigger + A + Start'' at the Press Start/Title screen.

Which I assume refers to the US version - give it a go and the linkup option should appear.

The jpn version was re-released recently, so getting another copy shouldn't be too expensive.
