PS2 Progressive scan query

I've currently got a new white jp PS2 capable of progressive scan, and I'm about to take delivery of a Toshiba Picture Frame TV which supports progressive scan.

Are component cables the best way to connect?

And if so how many games are compatible with progressive scan?

And if they're not compatible is RGB scart a better way to go?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm not too hot on this and don't wan't to get it wrong....

If you want prog scan, component cables are the ONLY way you can connect for this. Most people seem to be happy with the official Sony component cables but I was dissapointed with the PQ it gave me so I ordered the ?35 Ixos ones. Looks amazing, even makes the dvd movie playback decent.

As far as Im aware there are only a handful of prog scan games on the PS2. Tekken 4, Burnout 2, The Getaway and Soul Calibur 2 spring to mind. They're pretty old titles so Im presuming there a few more games been made prog scan capable since.

I've just picked up the IXOS component cables as well, and they're much better than the official ones. Heres a list of PS2 games which have prog scan. These are US versions BTW.

ATV Offroad Fury 2
Burnout 2
The Getaway
Guilty Gear XX
Jak II
Primal
Ratchet and Clank 2: Going Commando
Socom: Navy Seals
SSX3
Tekken 4
