Advice regarding acer laptops

      That?s ok, no hard feelings at all.

      Anyway, I just decided to go ahead and order the Acer laptop (371tmi) at approximately ?1100. This includes the external DVD RW which is also covered by the warranty, but I'll just have to wait and see if it is any good. Anyway, it is Acer that handles the warranty, and they said they can extend it to 3 years including accidental damage for ?99, so I am quite confident about this one.

      Thanks for the messages regarding your personal experiences with Acer laptops. Much appreciated.

      By the way, "Cerberus" is a monster in Greek mythology; it is a three-headed dog that guards the entrance to the Underworld. The Trojan Prince Aeneas was (apparently) able to pacify this monstrosity with a honey cake, and yes, although I only possess one head I'm a sucker for honey cakes too.
