Quick Gameboy SP import question?

Afternoon chaps,

If I were to buy a Gameboy SP in the US, would the games on sale here in the UK work on it? Or are they in a different format, a la NTSC/ PAL?

ps am new to the whole handheld scene, the gameboy would be for my girlfriend, can you recommend some top quality titles, i think she's into puzzle/ platformers. cheers

Well if you dont own the NES and SNES copies of the Mario series then they are worth getting for the GBA. Also pick up Wario Ware and a lot of people like Kuru Kuru Kururin (I have a copy for sale at the moment ).

Do a search there are a few topics for recommended GBA games.

Just to note, the charger will be a USA charger - you'll need to get a PAL charger (play-asia.com sell them) or a stepdown converter to recharge your SP.

...and I experienced that linking european versions of some games with it's US counterparts won't always be working. Final Fantasy Tactics for instance...
