Ninja Gaiden Problem On Ltd Ed White Xbox

I have just got NG (US) Version and have had some major problems with it.

It loads ok and plays but as soon as you do any movement with the Sword the game locks up and makes an horrible high pitch noise. It does not matter either if the console is set to Pal or NTSC and running from the Original DVD or the HD.

I am scratching my head here, please help.

It is chipped with the Xecuter 2.3b lite and has Evo X 3921 on it.

    Regards

    Adrian

I'd say you would have more luck getting help on the www.xbox-scene.com forums. Any problems with games+modchips are normally reported fairly fast there.

I running Ninja Gaiden on my chipped white xbox and it's fine. so sounds like your copy is dodgy.

ps. when i modded mine, it was evident that it was a v1.0 mobo - was yours the same?

        Thanks for the advice mateys.

My friend chipped it for me and did pass comment that it was a version 1.0

The problem only occurs once you do an upwards movement with the sword, the game freezes and the controllers continues to rumble until the console is turned off. Another weird matter is that when the game loads up, the splash screen (which I assume is some kind of warning) is in Japanese, and is even followed by a little warning box in Japanese.

I have tried everything, and it still not work. Is it possible that the game itself is defective, and if so, what are videogamesplus.ca like for returns

Have you got Config Magic installed?

If so see what the HDD region is set to. It sounds like R1 JPN as your getting the JPN splash. Changing to R2 USA may help. It also may not. But worth a go.

yeh, you've got the xbox set to JAP region still. Change it to pal, region 4 (or indeed US if you want to boot without the modchip) with Config Magic and you'll get the US/Canadian warning screen. I had this when I first ran the game. I changed it as I now use it as a PAL xbox on live

Changing the EEPROM to English is a must on a Japanese console, especially if you've got Orta. Install configmagic, unlock the HDD, change from NTSC Region 2 to NTSC Region 1, then lock. You never know, that might solve it, but it sounds like the game to me.
