Hong Kong online stores repair experiences?

I was wondering about this, since my Q is almost in repairs for 2 months at Play-Asia.
Does it always take so long?

Can I ask you what the problem is with your Q? I send mine recently for repairs back to Lik Sang... I hope they fix it a little faster than 2 months. You pay lot's of money for these machines, but they seem quite unreliable when modded...hrmf..

Mail me if you want, I'm from the Netherlands as well..

      It's a long story.

      for the full scoop

Too bad it takes so long, but maybe they have lots of stuff to repair. Or it's really serious with my Q O_o
Dammit, I want it back so badly! heh

I think you should mail them... Or do they not respond?

I actually read your story when I searched for info on my Q problem. It reminded me not to open it totally to see what's wrong. I have no experience in these things and I don't want to wreck my Q even more. I hope both our machines come back to us soon... How much import tax did you have to pay btw? I had to convince DHL it was a 'videogames' machine and not a dvd player haha

          Does Lik-Sang ship with DHL?
I thought only EMS and UPS...?
I've e-mailed Play-Asia tons of times, but they didn't have any info since the tech. department works on it.
Today the pleasant e-mail arrived in which they said it is repaired, hurray!
          It costs $20.
Now to get it back without having to fight over custom charges (Oh plz God spare me that).

Does it matter if the item is a console or dvd-player? It's just both 19& VAT I think not?
Play-Asia lowered the value for me to 169 or something.

They recently started working with DHL as well.
            I'm glad it's fixed man!

It's both 19% BTW, but the import tax (douanekosten) is different. I believe dvd player is 9,5% and a console 4% tax. I actually read it was 0% on douane.nl, but I'm no expert on these things, so I'm glad it was 4% + 19% and not 9,5% + 19%. Ask them to put repaired item on the box or something. I'm gonna do the same thing with mine and it should work since we both already paid tax over the item. I still have the custom papers if they don't believe me.

Got my Q back today, it was sent with TNT (that's new to me), and it seems to work fine again
Finally could try my Q RGB cable from Lan Kwei yay!
The difference isn't as noticable as the difference between composite and s-video, but it is better!
Still too bad the dvd mode doesn't have RGB support.

              Repair costs were $20.
