How to delete Spyware?

My computer has been infected by Spyware. Is there a good free programme out there that will delete the Spyware for me? If not can you recommend me a good cheap programme that will do teh same job for me?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

You'll be wanting Ad-Aware and Spybot

Run both these and it should be sorted

I've downloaded both Adaware and Spybot but I'm still getting the odd popup. Not half as bad as it was before but still annoying

also if your using xp, disable the messenger service in services.msc

Make sure you get the latest definitions for Adaware too, the installs are likely not to be as up-to-date so it may miss a few.
