Gamecube power supply solutions?

This may be a silly question but I'm going to risk asking just in case to ensure I'm not wasting time or money.

For my US Gamecube, is it better to get the official Nintendo PAL power supply (takes 2 weeks to arrive) for ?21 or an un-official power supply (takes a day to arrive) for about ?25.

In other words, the latter won't bust up my Cube in the long term will it?

I'm guessing that the latter is like using a stepdown anyway (as I'm doing now) except there isn't the extra mess.

Both should be ok, I would rather wait for the official ninty one thou! I expect the third party one might get a little hotter!

Thanks. You wouldn't know where I can pick up a super-dooper cheap PAL Cube from would you? At ?25 might as well slap on a few extra bucks and get the whole damn package.

hehe when I sold my PAL cube I sold it with the stepdown/JAP PSU from my Jap cube!

So long as you show a photo with what you sell on eBay and explain this is what you are selling its all good.... didn't affect my sale anyway! 8)
