Im on adsl and I thought id buy this wireless router so i could share the net connection between my 2 comps. So far ive tried to set it on just one machine with it hardwired in and Im havin a lil trouble.
Im on bt openworl broadband. Managed to input all my details into the setup (username password n all). In the dlink status bar it says "connected" so i know all the settings seem to be right. Now to connect to bt it seems i have to go through a connection wizard to input my details so i connect to bt. I tried doing this and nothing happens. I get a "Error 678" message.
The only other choice i've noticed is when i go into network connections there also seems to be an "internet gateway" option also. I tried setting up a connection there but it asks for external and internal tcp or udp port numbers. Me being a bit crap wit this kinda stuff aint got a clue on how to find out what it is.
I've searched on the web for guides and tutorials but I just cant seem to get this blooder router connected to the net. For now looks like im gonna have to stick with this ugly green manta fish like usb modem for a lil longer
