Q about Negcon controller

I just bought a Negcon controller off ebay, but noticed that only the left shoulder button is analogue. although the right shoulder button appears to be like an analogue trigger, it only funtions as a digital button.

So i just wanna know is my negcon dodgy (it was brand new), or is this normal???

Ta for that......certainly is strange. I even opened it up to have a look to see if there was a dodgy spring!! but its just a digital button for the right shoulder button, ah well never mind.
