I have a wavebird for the Gamecube which I've used constantly for the last 6 months or so. The acquisition of said wavebird has improved the enjoyment of my Gamecube and generally made it a more pleasant console to own. I can play conveniently and casually, especially downstairs where there are dogs walking past between TV and settee.
Anyway, I'd like to get wireless controllers for my other consoles, but I'm aware that the options aren't quite as elegant as the wavebird. Here are my questions...
1) Does an RF controller work through a controller adapter?
For example, does the Logitech PS2 wireless controller work on an xbox with the appropriate converter?
2) Has anyone opened up a RF controller? Is there anything especially unusual about the wiring or anything? Does the RF block sit on the main circuitboard or is it on a daughter board? I'm curious as to whether it might be possible to modify a Dual Shock controller to be wireless, by splicing it with the RF part of a 3rd party controller.
3) Finally, any recommendatioons from the selections of 3rd party wireless controllers?
