    NTSC Gamecube Picture Quirk?

Ever since i first bought my Japanese Gamecube back in September 2001 i have noticed a very slight quirk with the picture that i'm wondering if any of you guys have also encountered.

Basically on games with large areas of blue or green (Zelda, Monkeyball and Mario Golf seem to be the worst culprits) you can very occaisonally notice a flash of red across the screen. Its completely random and sometimes doesn't appear at all and at other times can be every couple of minutes. Its almost subliminal and if you're are not looking for it then its near enough impossible to see.

I'm sure its not the TV as none of my other consoles show anything like it. Its also not the lead as it happens with composite and s-video (both offical Japanese Nintendo Cables.) My best guess is some ****ty quality video output circuitry, i'd be suprised if it was faulty as its certainly not got any worse over the last couple of years. If you have noticed anything similar then please let me know when you bought your Cube as if its been fixed in later versions then i'll get another.

I have heard of problems with the Cube's video output but it is usually lines acroos the screen and not at all like what you are describing.None of the problems I have heard about happen on my day of release jap cube,I can only assume it was a fault with a particular batch.
I had to prove this to one of my mates, his cube had the lines on all outputs(svideo,composite,etc...) but when we put the two side by side, mines did not have them.
I suspect your gamecube is faulty mate, unfortunately
