It's available on TechNet. Network install is 266Mb. And boy, is it slow.

It's now finished, it comes up with some guff about the new firewall which I've instantly turned off. It fails to recognise F-Secure as AV software and keeps telling me I need to install some. POS!

Looks like the finished version is the same as the RC2 release i used a couple of weeks ago, 260mb odd is a monster and it does seem to take forever to load (on P4 1.5 - 1.8 anyway).

The network version is fine, its probably worth downloading it and burning it CD. Saves you downloading it again the next time you rebuild your XP.

Most of the DOS based software that schools run doesn't want to know on SP2.

Thank **** I leave this job in a month.

I downloaded and installed this last night and so far have had no problems.

One slightly weird thing is that the when Windows is loading, the progress bar thingy that is usually green for XP Home has changed to the blue of XP Pro. Any idea why this would be? I used the link posted on Penny Arcade to download the file.

It's got rid of the "Professional" part on XP Pro's loading screen too.

                      Dunno why though.

Perhaps they have conceeded to the fact that is by no means a professional OS? XD

Another strange thing I noticed was that it set my activation days count back to 30. Maybe you can reinstall the service pack every month and never have to activate.

At work, we've been told to avoid installing this until they get around to supplying us with a butchered version that doesn't stop half of our intranet webapps falling over....

Am I the only one that prefers Win2K to XP?
