Cleaning up XP registry

What is the best method of cleaning up XP registry mess?

On old NT 4 and 98 boxes i'd have used RegClean the classic and no longer available clean up tool that dragged out the dead registry settings.

I notice MS and others still can't properly cleanup their mess once you've removed an application of theirs so wondered if there are any reg clean style tools for xp pro?

Cheers for the link although the readme that came with that lists every operating system EXCEPT for XP!!!

I use it with no problems on XP

Yep I have it a go, cheers mate. Don't know if I needed to tweak the settings but I ran the RegCleaner Auto Cleanup and it failed to find the registry settings for the 2 apps I had removed so I just went and deleted them manually using RegEdit.
