LCD TV - Any/all advice appreciated...

Right the other half is wanting to get an lcd tele to stick on teh wall in the bedroom. Fair enuff. She's happy to spend up to a grand but less if possible.

Now tbh I don't know much regards lcd teles, who makes the best, what I should be looking for and so would appreciate any constructive advice on the matter.

They look good to me, especially the 17" and 23" Philips, opinions anyone?

Do you have to wall-mount it? Doing that without having a load of wires hanging around isn't easy. If you've got somewhere to stand it on I'd advise going that route, to be honest.

I'm fairly happy with my little LG, but you really don't get much telly for your money with these things.

I bought a 15" LG sometime ago from Dixons and then promptly returned it.

The GC output of AC was so dire it was tragic.

Fine if you want to watch TV or DVD's.
