mame and problem with shooters

have just started playing with the latest version and now all my shooters are playing left right instead of up down? how to i set orientation correct?

umm, if youre using the latest binary version then i aint got a clue. (command line...errrr?)

but if its a gui then right click on your game, goto display (i think) and there should be some orientation options to play with.
