i have a maxtor 120gb hard drive and i put it in a 3.5" external rack thing which connects to usb. removable hdd basically. it had many files and etc on it, around 40gb. i turned my p.c off and then turn it back on and everything has gone! but it still in USED SPACE bit says that 40gb is being used! helppppppp and its change to hidden either!

Connect it up and look in Disk Manager (right-click on My Computer, go to Manage and look in there) and check that seems okay. -
everything i luk at, device manager and etc etc, it says its working fine and etc, but clearly it aint because i would not have a 120gb harddrive showing 40gb is being used and then open it up and nothing is there.Comment

aint got windows installed. but i dont udnerstand, it was working fine. nothing to do that its been put into a enclosure. but its annoyed. coz i had nuff important stuff on it. it says its there but its not. its jus emptyComment
