Cheap international shipping? Where?

I need to ship a 2.5kg parcel (an arcade stick) to the US. Does anyone know of a decent cheap courier?

Parcelforce seems to be about ?30, TNT is charging nearly ?150!

Any help is appreciated.

Courier >> Parcelforce price wise. You won't find anything/much imo less than ?50 for this weight...

surely it would be cheaper for the recipient to buy the stick locally/ off the web and you just send the cash ?

If they can buy the item locally/online, why would they have bought the stick from John in the first place??

I'm sending a custom arcade stick I've built for someone to the US.

Yes, they could get someone to make it for them locally but they'll charge more than me (even when taking the ?30 shipping into account). I'm just trying to make some money back on a bulk order of parts so that my personal projects are a bit cheaper.

It just seemed unlikely that royal mail would be the cheapest......
