Help : My XBox has crashed!!

I need some advice, my copy of Panzer Dragoon Orta has stopped working?

I put the disk in, close the tray, the big green X splash screen comes up and thats as far as it gets......

All my other games seem to work? Is it the 'box which is faulty, or the disk? Has anyone seen this before?

I am especially concerned because I think loading screens are starting to take longer and longer, I can hear the disk drive working overtime on some occasions to load up the next level.

Any help muchly appreciated.

I would suggest it may be the disk. Have you tried giving it a careful wipe clean, the drive laser may be having problems reading the disk if there is a piece of gunk in the way. I would be a wee bit concerned about the strange HD noises though...

This problem may be because the disc is dirty or the drive is dirty. Happened to a mate of mine and with one quick wipe it worked again.
