FTPing to XBOX + Internet

I can only use my cable modem with ethernet connection, so when I want to transfer data to my xbox (often large divx files) I have to unplug my ethernet modem in order to use my crossover cable connection to the xbox

Now what would be the best solution for me to be able to use the internet and FTP to my xbox at the same time?

Would it be a hub? Any recommendations? Would I still use a crossover with in this case?

all cable r rj45, but most newer routers apparently allow crossovercables aswell.
