TMPGEnc error - any help ?

Im running TMPGEnc to convert some DV footage into files to make a DVD, well i would be if i didnt keep getting this error :



Any idea's ??

(for what its worth video editing is far superior on Apple !)

Read errors are often caused by dodgy RAM modules, or corrupt hard disk structure. Have you tried reinstalling the app? Try moving the video to an alternate partition, preferably on the local PC. Bit hit and miss I know, but you never know.

I have tried TMP on 2 installs of windows now. I clean installed onto a new hdd. Both gave this error message.

Im sure Ram is ok as i can run farcry etc with no errors.

Im actually building a new pc and taking this one back, maybe ill wait until then and see what happens.

Judging by the screenshot, the encoding process doesn't even begin. If reinstalling the program doesn't help, you could try using a different encoder although I don't know if there are any good free ones...
