Should I Sell MY Panasonic Q???

Just wondering whether i should part ways with this lovely piece of hardware, i never use it, and could pick up a switched cube for next to nothing.

Its all lovely and mint and i think marcus managed to sell one on here for around ?250, he may have gone a little lower to actually sell it, but its good money either way.

Being out of production now, is it going to go up in value if i hold onto it, or is it worth cashing in on now as it doesnt get much use.

I'm off to japan in the summer so could always pick up one again if there are a few available at a decent price.

Is it modded? If not, get rid! Get a modded one if you can, dont go without one!!

No its not modded, as i don't really know anyone who can mod it for me.

If you really badly need the cash, then sell it and get a nice simple variety cube. I would say keep it if your not desperate for cash. Imo people are snapping these babies up and most collectors can`t get enough of them.

I love the Q, it really is a collectors dream machine, so if you do treasure it then keep it and enjoy.

Heh, i don't NEED the cash, just it doesnt get enough use to make it worthwhile, i'm happy to keep hold of it for show until a worthwhile offer comes along, depends if i can pick another up in japan for the same price when i next go there, and if i can find a person to mod it.

Just when its not being used it sits there, and i see it as a couple of hundred quid that could be put to better use.

I've only seen two Panasonic Qs since I've been here so they are not very common. Probably be even less so when you get here... Although personally I think unmodded Qs are probably less common then modded ones and if I bought a Q I would want one unmodded.

MD which stores are you seeing them in? I might try and hunt one down in June/July.

Im guessing its in the smaller stores, or possibly the over priced trader shops. Either way, probably cheaper than anywhere else!

they weren't easy to find back inseptember when i was last there, altho stuff seemed to be cheaper priced if you headed away from akihabara... we saw a couple in a place called Atsugi for under 25000yen, which seemed a very good price....

can't wait to go again ^_^

Don't sell it, i found it quite hard to find it in Tokyo, i saw 2, one in Trader 2 which i brought and one in Toy's R us suprisingly which was about 360000yen (?180) brand new.

36000 is pretty steep, i paid 28k + tax i believe for mine, which was one of the few i saw in tokyo, otherwise i would have got the one in atsugi if i hadnt already picked this one up....

I guess atleast it'll never go down in value so i can always keep hold of it....

btw does anyone know where i can get this modded?

I think there was one place that did the modding, but charged something like ?120-?150 to do it.

If I were you, I would sell the unmodded one, and order a modded one from lik-sang, much easier (would have said play-asia, but they are sold out now!!)

If I were you I would keep it and do not mod it. maybe in 10 or so years you will be onto a gold mine.

I've given up getting mine modded, Just keep it and get an additional cube.
I heard these mods- however good its been done may have a chance of messin up the system later on in its life, i know 3 such people its happened to. (1 did spill milk over his tho LOL)
