    warzard pcb sound question

    hi
ive manage to find a warzard PCB kit for sale and i want it real bad but the guy whos selling it mentioned this a while ago,

    quote:
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a problem that the music will fade in and out on my game, I don't know if that is normal at all.
Also, one of the orange topped resisters is smashed down, I hadn't realized it until today. It is at position EXC9, and don't know if that might be the cause of the problem
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

now ive asked him about it and after a bit of research he rekons that its ment to sound like this because of when the fight zooms in and out,but i just wanted to know if anyone knows if this is right because its quite an expensive peice of kit
    any help would be great
    cheers

Well... If the game CD was damaged I doubt the sound would play at all, so I doubt it's broken or anything. You could always try and find a cheap copy of one of the first SF3's or even Jojo's and see if the same thing happens, if you wanted to be sure.

      hi mate
yeah i think im just gonna have to presume this is normal operation for this game, ive asked on other forums where i know people own this game and no one has anwsered my question so i think ill just buy it and cross my fingers,i thought about buying jo jos as well but ive heard that boot up a new game on the mother board is a real nightmare takes like 45mins to re-write the flash roms or something

Well the resisters probably wouldn't be a major problem, but they should be replaced anyhow (so try and get at least 20 quid knocked off).

Reflashing the board to play new games isn't too bad but I wouldn't expect to play more then 1 CPSIII game in one day.
