FTPing from a PC to an Xbox Question.

This has probably been asked a few times, but I was wondering what equipment and software you need to FTP from a PC to an Xbox and vice versa. I know you need a cross-over cable, although I'm not sure which is the one to get and which is compatible with both the PC and Xbox. I'm guessing you need an FTP client. Will CuteFTP be OK?

So, is that all you need to get it up and running?

I'm also not quite sure how the PC and Xbox would communicate. I'm assuming you need the IP address from the Xbox - do you also need to require other information aswell?

    Cheers.

Basically a cross-over ethernet cable is what you need, probably get one of a decent length for a couple of quid on eBay

And yes you will need an FTP app, cuteFTP should work fine, I use FTP voyager..... many recommend flashFXP.... follow the advice given in the post below for linking it up:

      Thanks alot.

Also, another thing I wondered. I don't have an Ethernet port on my PC's HD, only on my cable modem. Would it still be OK to connect it?
