Quick Dreamcast RGB scart cable question

Hi

I have a UK Dreamcast and am looking for a RGB scart cable. There is a Japanese one for sale on the forums but it has not been tested on a UK machine to see if it works.

Does anybody know whether Dreamcast scart cables are universal or could there be problems using a Japanese cable on UK DC.

I'm pretty sure they are universal.
I have a Jap and a UK DC, and both work 100% on the same RGB lead.

If it is a proper Japanese RGB "SCART" cable then you will get nothing but a rolling red picture as Japanese "SCART" cables are wired up completely differently.

If it's a SCART lead for a Dreamcast then it might work but as UK SCART leads can be found for around 15 quid, it's better to play safe.
