Why Dont Borders Print in Word?

Argh, wtf is up with this? I always have this problem. I put a border around my page measured from the edge of the page and the bottom of the border never prints out. The three other sides do, just not the bottom!

I'd consider myself computer literate, but I've been fiddling around with as many settings as I could think of and the bloody bottom of the border just will not print out.

Am I a total ****ing chump or not?

Oh, and what is the shortcut to change text to all caps. crtl-F(something) or alt-F(something)... I can't remember! Going through format => font takes too long!

Is the bottom border outside the printable area of your printer?

I think that's what it is, but I've been messing around is page properties and stuff and it won't come onto the damn page!

Bizarre. Increase the bottom margin? Stops the bottom egde of the border getting near the non-printable zone.

That said, it often tells you if the margins you've set are outside the printable area as you go to print.

I recently had this problem but found the answer.

when you press print, click on properties and there should be a tab called layout or something. then inside there, there should be someting about scaling the page to fit A4 paper, click that and print the document, the border should then print

I think that the properties tab is different for each printer and the drivers you use. Mine's probably different to yours as I've probably got a different printer. I've had a look through and all the settings say it's for A4 paper but the son of a bitch still has the border outside the printable area!!!

Its not the page settings that it is A4, its a tab saying resize or reduce/enlarge or something like that. even though my page is on A4. i still have to make it 'fit to page'
