    Q about Logitech GT3 wheel

    Can the PS2 logitech GT3 wheel be used on a PC? If yes how, won't i need the correct drivers?

    It's just that i'm thinking of getting one for my PC, seeing as its a good steering wheel for not a lot of cash.

    Yes, there is a regedit file that allows the Logitech Driving Force to get recognised as a force feedback wheel. I don't know about one for the new Driving Force Pro however, and Google isn't playing ball with finding a link to it, either. Fortunately, I've got a copy on the hard-drive still:

    open up a plaintext file in Notepad, paste the following and save it as drivingforce.reg to make it installable:

      Thanks for that mid.

      Also are all the GT3 wheels the USB type, or are there earlier non-USB versions ou t there as well.? Just making sure i don't buy one off ebay that isn't USB.

        Well there are 2 sorts of logitech Force feedback wheels for ps2. One of them is the GT Force which has no D pad on it and is the one to go for imo as all games work with the paddles behind the wheel for changing up and down. The other has a dpad and was latter released by logitech but i heard the gear paddles dont do there job in some games like initial D. They are USB and if you want to use it on your pc go here http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/do...contentid=5307 for the drivers. Hope that helps

          One last Q......... Hodge the Logitech Formula Force wheel in your link, is that basically the same wheel as the GT Force except its the official PC version?

            Sure is. I remember when GT3 came out, quite a few opted for this one and had no probs with it. Should be fine if you wanna go with that one as it is the same as the GT force version (the one without the dpad) but the rubber grips are just red instead of purple.
