Good recent PC games?

I've got a reward hanging to be grabbed... namely a free PC game if I can think of something to suggest. So... suggestions on recent (last 6 months) programs? I've got a pretty souped up machine so most stuff should be okay to run...

NOLF 2, its one of the best games in recent years, and it looks amazing.

Thats the only real great game for me in recent months.

Yep, agree with that. Just started replaying it again. As BedroomBusinessman says it does look absolutely amazing. The only PC game i've bought this year.

If you've got an internet connection at home I would highly recommend Battlefield 1942 + Road to Rome. The multiplayer game mechanics are fantastic and it supports up to 64 players online.

OK it's published by EA but thats the only bad thing about it trust me this game is not to be missed.

Assuming you have a half decent PC and a broadband connection to play on it'll be an absoloute blast online.

If not, buy the Quake collection box set

Not "new" but I highly recommend Neverwinter Nights... I've poured hours into it. Easily one of the greatest PC games I've played.

not new at all but blizzard have released a Diablo 2 + Lords of Destruction Expansion set, if you've never played it, its a fantastic hack n slash semi-rpg, an absolutely fantastic game online which i spent many hours of my life on, if you get it and play online i can help you out a bit depending on where u play

I never liked NOLF 1 or 2, I don't know what it was.

I'm playing through Unreal II at the moment and I've been loving every minute.(and it looks better than NOLF 2)

If you have a BB connection I'd advise BF 1942 and the expansion back if you can afford it.
