Quick question - re- hori SC2 arcade stick

    lo,

am expecting a coule of these this week(hopefully) and intend using em via a magic box for SC2 on my xbox....

neway could someone measure/give a rough estimate on the cable length on these sticks please.
The reason i ask is that my xbox in set above my tv on shelving which is no problem with the normal xbox controllers due to the length of their cables.
need to know if i need to buy either xbox/PS2 controller extensions cables to make life easier.

    thx
    YW

EDIT: - just had a thought, in ne1's using the same setup, could you also tell me wots the length on the cable on the magic box? - the combination of bothe leads may be enough to not worry about the extension cables.

    cheers

I dont mean to piss on your party mate, but ive heard some bad reports about using pad converters and arcade sticks. Mainly that only 4 buttons of the arcade stick are mapped, making it usless for SC2.

Then agian i could be wrong.

        it's better work !

i spent a while looking at all the threads here about the HoriSC2 stick and although THIS thread doesn't specificly state if all buttons are supported the guy ( dgnr7982 ) thats tried it does say there are no problems what so ever, bleeders also has received one and is using the magicbox by the looks of it, and he hasn't posted back with any probs - hopefully thats a good sign too.

You are right too tho - in the faqs on lik-sang it does say that the magicbox doesn't support 6 buttons for the DC arcade sticks.

In another thread someone mentions that it doesn't work on a GC at all via a converter.

You got me worried enough to check it all out again...... but i think (am hoping really) that it will be fine...

Hopefully someone will confirm this soon and put my mind at rest

        YW

It's the Dreamcast stick where only 4 buttons are mapped - there are no problems with Playstation controllerson Xbox - all the buttons are mapped.

Yep, the PS2 SCII Hori Stick works fine through the Magicbox Convertor with ALL buttons mapped. I had a job working out which ones were which though at first.

The cable length of the Magicbox isn't very long at all I'm afraid, but the SCII Hori Stick is of a decent length though...
