Best place to buy an Import (Us) PS2

I'm looking for a new american PS2.I've only imported a couple of times and i did that through Goblin direct.I've heard they've been very unreliable lately so i'll give them a miss.
So does anyone know of anywhere decent that i can buy a new console from?It doesn't have to be chipped, But it does need to be one of the new models that comes with a network adapter.And i would prefer it to come from a supplier in the UK.I've checked NCSX and a few others and they don't seem to stock the actual consoles.It's for use with FFXI which i'm buying from forum member.
Also my friend is going to give me a stepdown he used with his Japanese Dreamcast.Will it be ok to use this with the PS2?

I just noticed your planning to use a DC stepdown - DON'T... not without confirming it'll handle over 70W first.

Import DCs were quite often sold with small stepdowns, I used my DC one for a PS2 and it melted, blowing up the PS2.
