Help needed for picking 17" LCD TV for my gaming set-up

Perhaps a tenuous gaming link but I'm looking for a 17" widescreen LCD that has the following features:

    Widescreen (duh)
    Scart input
60hz mode (so I can play 60hz enabled games)
    (preferably) under ?500

Has anyone got any recommendations or experiences?

Richer Sounds has the Hyundai WPT17 that seems to tick most of the boxes (not sure about the 60hz though.) Anyone got one of these?

    Any help much appreciated.

    TT.

It should do 60Hz. There's a fairly recent topic (in the last week) about using TFT monitors / LCD TV's for gaming. Have a look for it, it should help you considerably.

My friend, a forum search will reveal this post. I wrote it for people exactly such as yourself.

      Thanks

        Londoner,

Thats a bloody good post and my apologies for not finding it when I did an initial search (I did do one, honest!)

You seem to give the Hyundai the thumbs up which is good news (note that its actually priced at ?449 in Richer Sounds.) Can I assume that this can handle the 60hz option??

        TT.

Seeing as Londoner was testing the LCD TV's with a NTSC Gamecube, the answer to your question is yes, it does do 60Hz.
