Alternative To Media Player

I got on fine with WMP 8. No problems at all. Upgrade to 9, and all hell breaks lose. It pauses as it looks at your playlists, then manages to cancel the drop-down menu. As soon as anything else loads, the sound becomes distorted. Plus, it ruined my playlists.

So, can anyone recommend an alternative? I have Winamp 2.9, but I use that for www.gamingfm.com and would much appreciate any other free packages that aren't bugged to hell.

you want Media Player Classic, which is small, fast, and mimics the behaviour of Media Player 6.

I'd go with VLC http://www.videolan.org which is good or Media Player Classic .

Meant to be extremely good and less drainage on the CPU.

i'd recommend vlc player aswell not had a problem with it, plays anything
