emac+warranty question - mainly about warranties

As reported in an earlier thread, my eMac has failed out of warranty. My query is, as it originally failed in warranty, you then get a 90 days warranty - is this on top of the 1 yr warranty as standard? Does this mean it's actually for 15 months in total or am I just being too hopeful?

This is hurting my head, please put me out of my misery.

You get either 90 days warranty or the remainder of your 12 months, whichever is longer.

So if your machine broke in the last month of the original 12 months you get 90 days, or the full 12 months if it broke in the 1st few months.
