JAP PS2: Does this model SCPH-50005 come with remote

Can anyone tell me if this JAP PS2 Silver come with a remote controller.

In the desciption is states that the new model supports a remote but does it come with it. In the box contents it doesnt mention it but I dont see it for sale anywhere separately.

I think its crazy not selling it with the PS2 but I wouldnt put it past Sony??

I strongly doubt it. I recently bought a new Japanese 50000 series model PS2 from Play Asia and didn't get one with it.

I've seen the new remotes in quite a few places in the local town centre in both black and silver. I would assume that they're regionless too.

BTW the link appears to be an Aqua Blue PS2 rather than a Silver PS2.

Back to the colour, what do think is best: Silver or Aqua Blue??

Also while Im at it do you not think the Midnight Blue PS2 with built in HDD looks very tasty, I take I wont need a memory card if I get it.
